PROBABLE LOOK OF THE ANCIENT RUS' TEMPLE OF ST. PETER IN PEREMYSHL ON THE BASIS OF 2015-2017MATERIALS ARCHAEOLOGICAL RESEARCH DATA

Based on archaeological research conducted between 2015 and 2017, along with a comparative analysis of related examples of sacred structures from the Rurik period in Halicia and the local traditional architecture, a hypothesis has been formulated regarding the possible design of the ancient Rus church of St. Peter inPeremyshl (Przemyśl), which is believed to have existed from the 12th to the early 15th century.

CHRONOLOGY AND ARCHITECTURE OF ST. PETER'S CHURCH IN PRZEMYSL FROM THE ANCIENT RUS' ERA TO THE XVII CENTURY

The article analyzes the complex of historical and archaeological materials related to the architecture of the lost St. Peter's Church in Przemysl, which existed approximately from the XII-XIII centuries to 1679. Based on the systematization of the available data, an attempt is made to recreate the chronology of changes in the planning structure and appearance of the structure from the time of its appearance to dismantling.

HISTORICAL AND CARTOGRAPHIC MATTERS FOR LOCALIZATION OF A SOME OF NON-EXISTENT CHURCHES IN PRZEMYSL

As a result of the analysis of descriptive, iconographic and cartographic material, the location of several non-existent temples of the Eastern Christian tradition in Przemyśl was determined and clarified. According to research, St. Trinity Church was located in a rectangle close to the square, now occupied by a residential building on Y. Slovatsky, 13 street (the so-called "rabbi's house"). The article deals with the issue of the lost heritage of the Eastern Christian culture of the city of Przemyśl. Being in the area of intense Latin religious expansion, the city underwent numerous transformations and changes, which led to the loss of almost the entire authentic layer relating to the most ancient and Rus` periods in its history.
