SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AS A CONCEPTUAL BASIS OF ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN

The article highlights current trends in sustainable development in the architecture of public spaces. The conceptual principles of forming an environmentally and socially responsible architectural environment taking into account modern urban challenges are analyzed. Key aspects of the sustainability of architectural space are revealed: energy efficiency, the choice of environmentally safe materials, adaptability and flexibility of spatial scenarios, biophilic design and principles of social inclusion.

RESEARCH OF THE HISTORICALLY FORMED STRUCTURE OF PUBLIC SPACES OF RESORT ON THE EXAMPLE OF YAREMCHE, TATARIV, VOROKHTA OF IVANO-FRANKIVSK REGION

In this small-research study, the public spaces of the historical centres of three resorts of the Ivano-Frankivsk region (Yaremche, Tatariv, Vorokhta) were localized, their morphology and existing condition were analyzed, and architectural and town-planning elements were identified. Particular attention is paid to identifying the historically formed structure of spaces, their state of preservation, typology and uniqueness.

EVALUATION OF THE GENERAL ATTRACTIVENESS OF THE URBAN PUBLIC SPACE ACCORDING TO MANY CRITERIA

Cities are constantly changing – new and existing facilities are created and reconstructed, existing ones are modernized, and new territories are developed, and, accordingly, public spaces are formed and develop in a certain way. To a large extent, this process is random and does not take place systematically, but this rather happens as a response to the urgent economic, environmental, social or other needs of city residents.
