Military symbols play a key role in the command and control of military forces. By communicating information that meets basic requirements, situational awareness can be quickly achieved; by its graphical nature, it provides a common operating language that greatly facilitates interaction across cultural and linguistic barriers. With the advent of information technology, the need arose for rapidly recognized international standards that could then be taught to computers. The fusion of high standard air, sea and land symbols on APP-6 paper resulted in Mil-Std-2525 and NATO APP-6D.

The article proposes a systematic approach to the analysis of psychological perception of information at the level of human intuitive perception. The most successful, according to the authors, methods and approaches of building information models of sensory perception of information are given. Such a systematic approach “from simple to complex and from it to generalization” made it possible to determine the features of each of the considered methods, to determine their advantages and disadvantages, and to indicate the directions of appropriate use.

This article to make the attempt to exposed the symbol structure in its appearance and geometrical form as to expressed the sacral essence in the temple construction. This structure to manifests through the appearance-idea, the functionary-content to fill up and the sure symbol-sign that is show in the space of temple volume in sacred building. The significance manifests itself by the certain feature of the temple buildings, which in their imaginative expression symbolize the sacral essence of the God Temple that is show in some sacral forms-symbols.

The article deals with the correlation between the notions of symbol and image. The main attention is paid to the interpretation of symbol and image in various areas of Humanities, which allows to reveal substantial features of these terms. The terms “symbol” and “image” in semiotics and cultural studies have been analyzed. The interrelation of the terms “artistic symbol” and “artistic image” in literary theory has been discovered. According to the approaches to the study of linguistic terms, their terminological variability is substantiated.
