Complaint review procedure

The main aspect of the editorial policy of the scientific journal  ‘Bulletin of Lviv Polytechnic National University. Series: Legal Sciences’ is to recognise and resolve issues that arise in the process of research and publication.

The editorial board uses the complaints received to constructively improve the quality of the journal and refine its publishing policy. The editorial board of the scientific journal undertakes to consider all complaints and suggestions according to their nature and complexity, and any decision taken will take into account the recommendations provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

To submit complaints or suggestions, please use the following email address: law.nulp@gmail.com.

The editorial board undertakes to send a confirmation letter of receipt of the complaint within seven working days. The duration of consideration of a complaint or suggestion by the editorial board is 30 working days. The duration of consideration of an issue may be extended in individual cases, depending on its complexity.

The complaint itself should be concise, as specific as possible, and contain substantiated data that clearly demonstrates a possible violation of publication ethics. The provision of additional supporting documents is desirable.

If the complaint is confirmed to be valid, the editorial board will take appropriate measures, which may include publishing a statement of concern, making corrections, and retracting and/or removing the article or data set related to the identified problem. All communication regarding the review process will be conducted exclusively by email. The editorial board and publisher undertake to carefully document all stages of the investigation, including the final decision.

The journal will provide the complainant with a clear explanation of the reasons if the complaint is deemed to be outside the scope of the journal's responsibility (e.g., personal claims against individuals). In addition, the journal will refrain from conducting an investigation if the complaints are submitted in an offensive, threatening, or defamatory manner.
