Ukrainian iconostases of the early 20th century of the Galician region, preserved in their authentic form to this day, are of interest to art historians and scientists. The process of forming the architectonics and iconography of iconostases in the late 19th – early 20th centuries took place in difficult historical conditions on the principles of the national Renaissance. Research on Ukrainian iconostases of the early 20th century. Galicia, with its unique artistic solution, is becoming increasingly relevant in our time. The research aims to study the iconography and structure of the iconostasis of the Church of the Cathedral of the Most Holy Mother of God in Remeniv, Lviv region. The research methodology is based on the use of general scientific methods: comparativehistorical method, method of analysis, synthesis, and empirical research methods. The article analyzes the architectonics of the iconostasis of the church and highlights the characteristic features of iconography, which are manifested in the national artistic identity. In the process of studying the iconostasis in Remeniv, the features of the architectonics and iconography of the studied iconostasis were determined. Based on the analysis, the artistic value of the iconostasis of the Church of the Cathedral of the Most Holy Mother of God in Remeniv, which is one of the best examples of the artistic heritage of Ukraine, was determined. The practical significance of the study is due to the possibility of using the results of the study in monographs on art history and in the educational process with in-depth study of sacred monumental and decorative art.
