Anti-Plagiarism Policy

The editorial board of “Transport Technologies” journal informs authors that they bear full personal responsibility for incorrect borrowings or use of other people's research results and compliance with the ethics of scientific citation. Only original materials that have not been published previously will be accepted for publication.

Authors should ensure:

  • the originality of submitted articles, i.e., materials that have not been published in other publications in any language;
  • the absence of plagiarism;
  • references to relevant sources if the works or texts of third parties are used.

When submitting a manuscript for publication, authors agree that, if the article is accepted for publication, it will be available in electronic databases with mandatory indication of authorship and preservation of copyright. The text of the manuscript itself must contain complete references to external sources in the form of a list of references (including the authors' previously published works). The author(s) of the manuscript are required to properly cite any borrowings in the form of quotations or specific references to the original source. Any form of plagiarism is unacceptable, i.e., it is considered by the editorial board of the Journal as unethical behavior and is unacceptable for further cooperation.

The journal “Transport Technologies” uses “StrikePlagiarism” software to monitor and detect text borrowing in submitted manuscripts. The percentage of plagiarism is calculated using software that checks documents for borrowings both in the local database and on the Internet. The report is reviewed by the editorial board.

The editorial board analyzes all cases of recorded plagiarism and reserves the right to reject a manuscript from the review process. Any instances of plagiarism in manuscripts are strictly prohibited as a violation of copyright and scientific ethics. If more than 20% of the text in an article is found to be borrowed without appropriate references to the original source, the article is classified as containing plagiarism. In this case, the manuscript will no longer be accepted for consideration, and the author will receive a warning notice.

Plagiarism in all forms is unacceptable and is considered unethical behavior and a violation of the system of professional standards in relations between authors, reviewers, editors, publishers, and readers, which contradicts the provisions of the section Publishing ethics and codex. If the fact of text borrowing has been recorded, it is thoroughly analyzed by the editorial board. The editorial board of the journal will contact the author and inform them of the circumstances that have arisen.
