The article deals with the historical and architectural development of the territory of the Fredriv-Sheptytsky Palace and Park Complex in the village of Vyshnia, Lviv region. The palace is a bright example of the interaction between the European architectural tradition of the nineteenth century and the local specifics of Galicia. The layout of the palace's territory demonstrates a clear division into representative, park, and housekeeping zones. The main axis of the composition is the central alley leading from the main entrance to the palace. This alley serves as a visual axis that emphasizes the symmetry of the entire complex.
The park area combined features of regular and landscape styles. Initially, the park had clear geometric outlines with symmetrical alleys, ponds, and flower arrangements, but at the end of the 19th century, after the estate was transferred to the Sheptytsky family, it was partially transformed into a landscape park. The new paths were laid asymmetrically, taking into account the natural relief and greenery, which created the illusion of a natural environment. The on-site ponds, created in the form of decorative lakes, performed both utilitarian and aesthetic functions. Their location is harmoniously integrated into the overall composition of the park, emphasizing the smooth transition between the architectural ensemble and the natural environment.
The purpose of the study: to analyze the stages of historical and architectural development of the palace and park complex and the current state of the territory's use.
Methodology. The article uses general scientific and special scientific methods of historical, architectural, and comparative analysis based on the research described in the analyzed scientific articles relevant to the topic.
Practical significance. The current state of the palace was analyzed, the main architectural and planning features were identified, and the condition of decorative architectural and structural elements was determined. These studies can be used in the development of a comprehensive conservation project.
