General Requirements for Manuscript Formatting

  1. The language of publication is Ukrainian or English.
  2. Students can publish their scientific works exclusively with a scientific supervisor.
  3. The texts of the articles must be typed in the Microsoft Word text editor, according to the following requirements: Page size: A4 (180x297 mm). Indents: inner – 1.8 cm, outer – 2.5 cm, top – 2 cm, bottom – 2.7 cm (mirror fields)
  4. Main text: Times New Roman typeface, font – pin 11. Line spacing – 1. Indent – 1 cm.
  5. The volume of a scientific article together with annotations in Ukrainian and English and a list of used sources should not exceed 25 pages).
  6. It is advisable to submit one-person articles. You can co-author with someone else. As an exception, there may be one article with three co-authors.
  7. One issue may feature either one single article or one co-authored article. Publication of two articles by the same author in one issue of Visnyk is prohibited.
  8. The article should have elements of scientific novelty, clearly defined relevance and research hypotheses.
  9. The article must be structured, that is, contain elements: “Problem statement”, “Analysis of recent research and publications”, “Hypothesis formulation and goal setting”, "Research methods", “Statement of the main material”, “Conclusions”, „Prospects for further research”. (for an example of how to do this, see the Appendices)
  10. In the first line, the UDC is indicated (bold font, 11, right '). In the next line, JEL Classification Code
  11. After 1 interval, the initials and surname of the author and co-authors (bold font, 11, right).
  12. The next line is the name of the organization in which the author works; for employees and graduate students of Lviv Polytechnic University, additionally - the full name of the department to which they belong (ordinary font, 11, right).
  13. The following lines are – mail and ORCID ID.
  14. After 1 interval, the title of the article is in capital letters (bold font, 14, in the center). The title of the article should be concise and informative, if possible, avoid abbreviations.
  15. Sign "©", surname, initials of the author, co-authors, year of publication (© Horbal N., 2026.).
  16. Abstract in Ukrainian and English (Ukrainian – 500-700 characters with spaces, English – 2700-3000 characters without spaces). In the English-language version of the abstract, the summary of the article should be reflected and, accordingly, its purpose, tasks, research results, conclusions should be included.
  17. Under each of the annotations, – keywords are in Ukrainian and English, respectively (5-6 keywords or phrases). Through the line - the main text of the article. (see. Example of design of a publication at the end of the page).
  18. Tables. The main font size for the table is 10. The table headings are placed in the centre (font pin 11 bold, straight) and the table numbering on the right in italics, normal font, 10.
  19. Formulas are presented in Ms Equation 2-4 format, centered in the middle of the text and numbered in round brackets to the right of the text. Font: regular – 11 pt, large index – 9 pt, small index – 7 pt, large symbol – 18 pt, small symbol – 11 pt.
  20. The list of references is presented in two forms: in the original language, designed according to the current DSTU 8302:2015 and References according to the international style of the APA (American Psychological Association). The article must contain at least 20 references to the use of the source. Scientific works indexed from international Scopus and Web of Science databases are also encouraged to list links. Each position of the used source starts with a separate line.
  21. In the text of the article, references to the sources used should be indicated by a serial number allocated by two square brackets, according to the list of sources (the position of the cited publication in the list of sources used, page, for example, [10, c. 16]).
  22. It is necessary to avoid references to sources published in Russian in any country, as well as sources in other languages, if they are published on the territory of the aggressor state.
  23. References to own scientific works should be minimized.
