acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber

The Structure of Acrylonitrile-Butadiene Rubbers: Paramagnetic-Probe Study

Chain microstructures and supramolecular structures of nitrile- butadiene rubbers are studied by ESR spectroscopy. On the temperature dependences of the rotational mobility (correlation time τc) of paramagnetic probe 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-1-oxyl, relaxation transitions are observed. It is shown that there is a correlation between the Arrhenius parameters of rotational mobility of radical and the copolymer composition and that different brands of rubbers differ in microstructure and supramolecular structure.

Influence of Propylene Units Stereoregularity in Modified Ethylene-Propylene-Diene Elastomers on the Ozone Resistance of Covulcanizates with Acrylonitrile-butadiene Rubbers

The modification of ethylene–propylene–diene elastomers via the addition of fragments of an accelerating agent to improve their compatibility with acrylonitrile-butadiene rubbers and to reduce the rate of ozone degradation of the polydiene matrix is efficient only in the case of low stereoregularity of propylene units in the ethylene–propylene–diene copolymers when the crosslinking system is added to acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber.
