PROBLEM ASPECTS OF HAZARDOUS WASTE MANAGEMENT IN A TECHNOLOGICALLY LOADED REGION

We have assessed the environmental risks caused by the lack of hazardous waste treatment facilities in the industrial region. We have identified such environmental threats as the release of hazardous waste into the environment, uncontrolled flows of hazardous waste that may end up in municipal landfills as household or other hazardous waste. A critical analysis of the existing modern infrastructure in Ukraine, on the basis of which hazardous waste management is carried out, was conducted. The problem of generation and disposal of hazardous waste in the Poltava region was analyzed.

ANALYSIS OF THE CAUSES AND CONSEQUENCES OF ANTHROPOGENIC PRESSURE ON THE ENVIRONMENT OF PRODUCTION OF CONSTRUCTION PRODUCTS

. The article is devoted to the study of the causes and consequences of the anthropogenic impact of the construction industry on the environment, with a special emphasis on the use of radon-containing materials in the production of construction products. The key factors that cause environmental pressure, such as raw material extraction, technological processes, insufficient waste disposal technologies, and weak regulatory control, are analyzed.

HYDROCHEMICAL REGIME AND ECOLOGICAL STATE OF SURFACE WATERS IN THE SYNIUKHA RIVER BASIN

Preserving and restoring the ecological status of rivers in the southern regions of Ukraine is long-standing and pressing issue. These territories have a significant permanent water shortage. The problem of water supply has been exacerbated not only by military operations, but also by climatic factors, including the record-breaking hot summer of 2024. The Syniukha River is one of the largest tributaries of the lower part of the Southern Bug, whose water is actively used in various areas of economic activity.

Geodynamic processes in the territory of the Svidovets mountain massif of the Ukrainian Carpathians (in the zone of the planned creation of a tourist and recreation complex)

The purpose of the research is a comprehensive analysis of various geodynamic natural processes on the territory of the Svydovets mountain massif of the Ukrainian Carpathians - the zone of the planned creation of a tourist and recreational complex for the development of a program for their further detailed study in the area of the planned activity (PА). The methodology includes a comprehensive analysis of the manifestation and course of dangerous geodynamic processes based on source information and individual studies of the authors.

The dynamics of human-induced transformations of landscape in the sub-mountainous /Podgórze/ region on the example of metropolitan areas in south-east Poland

Anthropogenic impact as one of the factors influencing transformations of the current spatial structure is a feature characterizing the post-urbanization and globalization period. Two urban centres of interregional – national character have been selected for the purposes of the presented analysis and research, both of them situated in the area of the Sub-mountainous /Podgórze/ Region together with their neighbouring areas marked out by the conventional limits of the metropolitan centres.
