The article is dedicated to the research of peculiarities of impact of the coronavirus pandemic on electoral process and voting results on the example of 2020 local elections in Ukraine. Using the complex of general scientific, logical and empirical methods, the peculiarities and problems of holding elections to local self-government bodies of Ukraine in 2020, which took place in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic. The authors argue that Ukrainian authorities didn’t follow the path of most foreign countries and decided not to postpone the date of local elections in 2020.

The article examines the level of democracy of the US presidential electoral system and the prospects for its transformation. To do this examination, considerable attention is paying on the main procedural aspects of the US presidential election, in particular, on the features of the organization of primary elections, popular voting and the expression of will of the Electoral College. Using general scientific, logical and empirical research methods, the weaknesses and strengths of the US presidential electoral system are analyzed.

The article studies the place and the role of international governmental and non-governmental organizations in the democratization of the election in Ukraine.

Research is dedicated to the consideration of certainty and separation stages of the election process in the election of President of Ukraine, deputies of Ukraine, local elections and clarify important boundaries defining stages and deadlines for the passage of the electoral process as a whole.
