FORMATION AND PROPERTIES OF CROSS-LINKED POLYMER FILMS BASED ON BIOCOMPATIBLE POLYMERS

Cross-linked polymer films based on polyvinyl alcohol and polyacrylamide have been prepared via radical cross-linking initiated by peroxide containing reactive copolymers. The influence of temperature, nature and concentration of cross-linking agents onto gel-fraction value and properties of polymer films has been studied. Obtained cross-linked polymer films are characterized by improved physico-mechanical properties that depend on the content of peroxide containing copolymer and on the presence of additional cross-linking agent.

Epoxy Composites Filled with Natural Calcium Carbonate. 3. Epoxy Composites Obtained in the Presence of Monocarboxylic Derivative of Epidian-6 Epoxy Resin

A monocarboxylic derivative of Epidian-6 with free epoxy and carboxylic end groups (MCDER) has been synthesized using Epidian-6 epoxy resin and sebacic acid. The structure of MCDER was confirmed by a spectral analysis. The thermal stability of MCDER has been established and the formation of cross-linked films based on epoxy-oligomeric mixtures consisting of Epidian-5, TGM-3 oligoesteracrylate, and polyethylene polyamine has been studied in its presence. By means of IR spectroscopy, the chemistry of the mixtures formation has been established.

THE PECULIARITIES OF FORMATION OF CROSS-LINKED POLY(2-ETHYL-2-OXAZOLINE) FILMS AND NANOCOMPOSITES ON THEIR BASE

Cross-linked polymeric and nanocomposite films based on poly(2-ethyl-2-oxazoline) and modified mineral nanoparticles of hydroxyapatite and silica have been obtained via radical cross-linking initiated by peroxide containing reactive copolymers. The influence of temperature and additional cross-linking agents on the peculiarities of curing process has been studied. The obtained results reveal that at high temperatures the dependence of film gel-fraction values on time has the extremal character.

Epoxy Composites Filled with Natural Calcium Carbonate. 1. Epoxy Composites Obtained in the Presence of Monoperoxy Derivative of Epidian-6 Epoxy Resin

Physico-mechanical properties of the products based on filled epoxy-oligomeric mixtures composed of Epidian-5 epoxy resin, oligoesteracrylate TGM-3 and monoperoxide derivative of Epidian-6 epoxy resin (PO) have been investigated. CaCO3 was used as a filler and polyethylene polyamine was a curing agent. The effect of PO and CaCO3 on the gel-fraction content and physico-mechanical properties was examined. Using a scanning electron microscopy (SEM) the morphology of the samples has been studied.

DEVELOPMENT OF THE OBTAINING METHOD OF MONTMORILLONITE-POLYVINYLPYRROLIDONE MODIFIER FOR THE THERMOPLASTICS

Creation of polymeric nanocomposites based on the polymers of structural designation is a relevant task at present. Of great interest in obtaining the polymeric nanocomposites is montmorillonite, as a nanoscale heterophase.

Properties of Thermoplastic Polyurethanes Based on the Mixtures of Simple Oligoethers

The interrelation between structures and strength, deformation, rheological, and tribotechnical characteristics of thermoplastic polyurethanes based on oligoether blends has been studied. A notable change of properties over the whole concentration range was observed. The best compositions have been found.
