INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH ON SUSTAINABLE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT. THE LIFE PATH OF DR. HEINZ LEUENBERGER

The article deals with the main scientific priorities of the development of environmental research on sustainable industrial development under the leadership of the international expert in the field of natural resource efficiency and cleaner industrial production, Dr. Heinz Leuenberger, Professor and Senior Advisor at the University of Applied Sciences, Basel (FHNW). Current priorities of his scientific research are green industry, resource efficiency and cleaner production, environmental impact assessments, wastewater, hazardous waste and chemicals management, material flow analysis.

EFFICIENCY OF FIBROUS CARRIER USE IN BIOTECHNOLOGICALLY INTENSIFIED PROCESS OF ADDITIONAL TREATMENT OF INDUSTRIAL WASTE WATER FROM PETROLEUM PRODUCTS

The paper presents the results of experimental studies on the efficiency of additional treatment of industrial waste water of the plant “Motor Sich JSC” from petroleum products with modern biotechnology of waste water treatment using the fibrous carrier “VIYA”. The comparative analysis of the efficiency of additional treatment of industrial waste water of the plant from petroleum products using the artificial fibrous carrier and the adsorbent “Ecolan” has been carried out.

Waste water heat recovery system

After heating and cooling, water heating is typically the second largest user of energy in the home. There are a lot of purposes and uses of hot water in buildings - showers, tubs, sinks, dishwashers and clothes washers etc. In most cases, these hot waste waters are discarded direct to sewer system. When we take into the account all of these purposes in every households, the wastewater retains a considerable portion of its initial energy – energy that could be recovered and used.

The Technology of Obtaining Complex Anticorrosive Pigments from Zinc-Containing Waste Water

The technique for environmental protection from heavy metals is proposed in this paper. The objective of this research is development of utilization technology of metal-containing hazardous sewage with the reception of anticorrosive pigments. Zinc containing model solutions and waste water were used for this study. Cobalt was used as a cation chromophore. The method of potentiometric titration has been applied for research of precipitation process.
