The Effect of Composition and Structure of NBR-Based Elastomer Blends in the Vulcanization Process and Study of Their Aging by Exposure to Heat and Radiation

The vulcanization process of elastomeric blends based on chlorinated aromatic nitrile-butadiene rubber (SKN-40M) has been studied in the present work. The structural parameters (molecular weight, plasticity, rigidity, number of network chains, cross-linked molecules) in thermovulcanizates were investigated on an example of nitrile-butadiene rubber blend with polyvinyl chloride using viscometry and the sol-gel process.

Investigation of rheological properties of a nanocomposite of superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles with polyethylene glycol

This paper presents the results of a new investigation of the rheological properties of a nanocomposite of superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (SPIONs) with polyethylene glycol (PEG). The surface of the nanocomposite had no electrical charge and the SPIONs were coated with the polymer. The investigations were performed at different temperatures and the results were compared on different rheological parameters.

Poly(Vinyl Chloride)-Polystyrene Materials with Polymer-Silicate Fillers

The features of obtaining and modifying Ba- and Zn-containing polymer-silicate fillers have been researched. The influence of polystyrene modifiers (suspension and impact-resistant polystyrene) and finely dispersed Ba- and Zn-containing polymer-silicate fillers on the gelation process, view of flow curves, rheological properties: flow index, flow limit, thermal stability, surface hardness and elasticity of plasticized poly(vinyl chloride) have been discovered.

Investigation of rheological properties of graphene oxide and its nanocomposite with polyvinyl alcohol

Abstract. This paper focuses on the rheological properties of graphene oxide (GO) and its nanocomposite with polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). The purpose of this paper is to compare the mechanical properties of these materials. GO is a nanomaterial that has been widely studied in engineering. The comparison of its rheological properties with those of its nanocomposite with PVA has been required. Rheology is an appropriate method for the comparative investigation of the mechancial behavior of these materials.

The experimental researches of regulation of rheology properties of clay mixture by using to clays the additives of mineral and organiccontained electrolytes in ceramics technology are given.  Подано експериментальні дослідження регулювання реологічних властивостей шлікерів за допомогою використання до глин добавок мінеральних і органовмісних електролітів у технології кераміки.

Mathematical model of rheological behavior of silica suspension in hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose solution

A mathematical model of rheological behavior of silica suspension in hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose solution was investigated. The model takes into account the friction between particle aggregates, particle aggregates and macromolecules in solution and between macromolecules in solution as well as the formation of well ordered layers contained solid particles, adsorbed macromolecules and macromolecules in the holes between particles in aggregates at the large shear rates.

Study of Conditions for Polyacrylamide Use in Petroleum Reservoirs: Physical Flow Simulation in Porous Media

This article describes the reservoir’s average shear rate calculation and the rheological study of the polymer dispersion under the target reservoir conditions. It also identifies and quantifies the rock-fluid interaction parameters with this reservoir, including the total adsorption, residual resistance factor. The results confirm that the selected polymer is suitable to the target reservoir.

Effect of Extrusion Processing Variables in the Polyethylene/Clay Nanocomposites Rheological Properties

In this work, high density polyethylene, HDPE, was compounded in a twin screw extruder with organophilic treated montmorillonite clay and a compatibilizer agent. The screws configuration was changed from distributive to highly dispersive [1], using four different profiles. The extrusion conditions were also changed. The exfoliation degree was evaluated by X-rays. The rheological measurements showed different behavior according to the processing adopted.
