General Characteristics of Criminal Offences Against Freedom, Honour and Dignity

The article is devoted to the analysis of criminal offences against the will, honour and dignity of a person in the context of modern Ukrainian legislation. The author highlights how the legal regulation of these categories has historically transformed, which has a significant impact on the interpretation and application of criminal law in modern conditions.

The Right to Life and the Problem of Legalizing Euthanasia in Ukraine

 The article highlights the main positions for and against the legalization of euthanasia as a human right to death from different perspectives - social, religious, legal, and moral and ethical. Ukraine, as a democratic state, must comply with the international acts it has ratified and pay attention to the trends in Europe and the world, borrowing from the positive experience of these countries. On the other hand, our state should also take into account its own historical development, traditions that have been formed in our society, including the moral, ethical and religious component. 

Honor and dignity of a person: the issue of criminal law protection

The article indicates that the honor and dignity of a person is an important factor and an integral component of his constitutional rights and freedoms. Starting from antiquity, in many normative legal acts such as Roman law, Digests of Justinian, the legislation of Kievan Rus, and other European states, the desire to protect the rights, honor and dignity of privileged social classes, and later also of free people, through the legislative policy of the state, can be traced.

International legal standards for social protection of the elderly

The peculiarities of regulating the right of the elderly to social protection at the
international legal level are defined, the main international legal acts in this field are
described. Among the international instruments relevant for the social protection of the elderly
are: the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the European Social Charter, the
