Проект CERGOP виконувався з 1994 по 1998 рік і охоплював території 12 країн Центральної Європи, в т.ч. і України. Викладаються головні завдання проекту Описуються GPS вимірювання, проведені під час щорічних 5-6 добових CERGOP кампаній. В рамках проекту було підготовлено і видано 6 монографій, в т. ч. і монографію «Геодинаміка Північних Карпат».
