Today, among renewable energy sources, solar power is particularly effective. It is known that solar panels are mainly (more than 95%) based on monocrystalline or polycrystalline (sometimes amorphous) silicon, as a unique semiconductor material. Its irreplaceability is explained by its prevalence in nature. at the same time, the technology of manufacturing silicon solar cells is quite complex and energy-intensive.

Global climate changes are taking place on our planet, which cause an increase in the average annual temperature of the atmospheric air, and, therefore, rapid melting of glaciers on all continents and an inevitable rise in the level of the world ocean. This, in turn, can lead to "environmental" wars, a brutal struggle for survival resources, and powerful migration processes.

Відповідно до Європейського зеленого курсу, який ставить за мету розвиток економіки замкненого циклу та зменшення викидів забруднюючих речовин, Україна також імплементує це в свої плани. Тому в даній роботі було проаналізовано та співставлено скорочення викидів СО2, NOx, SO2 країнами Європейської Спільноти та Україною. Проаналізовано фактичні дані, щодо досягнення по зниженню викидів зазначених речовин, а також співставлено плани досліджуваних країн.
