Technological features of the formation of film products from modified hydrogels by the centrifugal method

Processing of polymers and composites based on them by centrifugal molding is important for production the bodies of revolution, which are used in various industries. This article analyzes the centrifugal molding and presents the results of research about new areas of such materials applications. For instance as method for the hydrogel films production of materials based on copolymers of 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) with polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), including filled hydrogels, which can be applicable in medicine, electrical and tool engineering.

Еlectrically conductive composite materials based on polyvinylpyrrolidone copolymers with combined fillers

Composite materials based on copolymers of polyvinylpyrrolidone and 2-hydroxyethylmethacrylate with combined fillers consisting of metal powders and graphite were obtained by the method of polymerization filling. The developed materials are characterized by sufficiently high physical and mechanical properties, increased electrical conductivity and water content. It was established that the addition of graphite to metal-filled copolymers increases the sensitivity of the electrical resistance of composites to moisture changes.

Sorption Properties of Materials Based on Polyvinylpyrrolidone Copolymers

Sorption properties of polyvinylpyrrolidone copolymers regarding to different acid-base indicators, as well as heparin and iodine have been investigated. The amount of sorption active centers of synthesized copolymers depends upon synthesis conditions, namely upon temperature and initiator amount, and is determined by the nature of sorbates and copolymers functional groups.
