OVERVIEW OF DAMAGE FACTORS OF REINFORCED CONCRETE STRUCTURES AND THEIR IMPACT ON LOAD-BEARING CAPACITY

This review analyzes key factors contributing to damage in reinforced concrete (RC) structures, including reinforcement corrosion, chemical attacks, cyclic and long-term mechanical loads, and extreme temperature effects. The study highlights crack formation as a primary damage mechanism, leading to structural degradation. Advanced computational modeling techniques, such as finite element analysis, offer valuable insights into crack propagation and corrosion processes but require further refinement.

FEATURES OF THE PROCESS OF LOADING AND TRANSPORTATION OF HOT ASPHALT CONCRETE MIXTURE. UKRAINIAN EXPERIENCE

Depicted in the Article are two stages of technological construction processes for asphalt concrete courses, namely: loading and transportation of asphalt concrete mix. As regards the loading, presented in the Article are two versions of discharging directly into dump body of dump truck or into storage hopper. Mentioned are the advantages of storage hopper usage, as well as the variety of such facilities and the storage time for asphalt concrete mix inside them. Described is the preparation procedure for a dump body of dump truck prior to loading (cleaning, lubrication).

Computer 3D modelling of chip geometry and force field in the hobbing process

Nowadays, the main method of machining the gears with a module in the range 1–25 mm, which are integral parts of modern machines, remains hobbing. Operations of the toothed crown processing determine the efficiency of the entire technological process of manufacturing gears. Thus, the time expenses and performance, the cost of the gears, and their final quality depend to a large extent on these indicators in operations of hobbing.
