Halych

Based on the analysis of historical primary sources and early plans, the article addresses the problem of identification and functional features of defensive structures, fortification works, as well as civil, sacral, and economic buildings within the territory of the Halych Castle during the period of its active use as a defensive citadel, an economic-administrative center, and a judicial hub. The results obtained from the analysis of 15 selected significant objects make it possible to fully identify seven of them and to refine the localization of the remaining eight.

У статті вводяться до наукового обігу матеріали архітектурно-археологічного перетину оборонного рову Старостинського замку ХІV−ХVІІІ ст. в місті Галич Івано-Франківської області. Детально описано стратиграфію розвідкової траншеї.
