STATIC REGULATIONS OF UREA (CARBAMIDE) ADSORPTION BY WET AND DRIED PEAT

The possibility and effectiveness of using a natural sorbent – peat from the Vereshchytsia-Yanivske deposit for treating agricultural wastewater with a high urea content – has been studied. The humidity and moisture content of the upland and lowland types of peat from this peatland were determined. Comparing these indicators made it possible to establish that the lowland peat has a significantly higher humidity and moisture content. The adsorption capacities of wet and dried types of peat for urea were studied and compared.

HYDRODYNAMICS OF THE HEAT AGENT FLOW THROUGH STATIONARY LAYERS OF THE WET AND DRY PEAT

Іn the conditions of rising prices for gas and coal, the use the peat as an energy resource is promising for Ukraine. According to the "Development Concept of the Ukrainian peat industry till 2030", the production of peat for fuel and fertilizers in Ukraine in 2020 is scheduled to amount 4-5 million tons per year. Milling peat may be a valuable local fuel for thermal power plants, municipal utilities, as well as the raw material for the production of fuel briquettes. Production processes of the peat pressing are multi-stage, long-term, resource and energy-consuming.

Шляхи підвищення енергоємності біопалива на основі торфу і біомаси

The study is devoted to the influence of effects of biomass briquetting, granulation, and heat treatment to improve the quality of biofuels. Another method of biomass treatment, such as briquetting and granulation with bonding and thermal treatment at 275-295 °С is proposed. Дослідження присвячене визначенню впливу брикетування, гранулювання та термічної обробки біомаси на якісні показники біопалива. Запропоновані нові методи переробки біомаси з використанням в’яжучого та термічною обробкою за температур 275–295 °С.
