The article is devoted to the investigation of the characteristics of the measures of ensuring administrative proceedings in cases of violations of public security and the order. The analysis of the existing in the Ukrainian administrative-legal science of the classification of measures to ensure the conduct of cases on administrative violations is carried out, a new vision has been proposed in connection with the changes that occur in the legislation and with the reform of law enforcement agencies, including taking into account European standards of administrative responsibility nostril. The classification of measures to ensure administrative proceedings in the case of administrative violations that adversely affect public security and order in order to increase the efficiency of application is proposed.
