Born on May 25, 1943, in with. Berezniki Kholmogorsky district of Arkhangelsk region.
In 1967 he graduated from the Leningrad Electromechanical Institute in the specialty "Electroacoustics and Ultrasonic Technology"
From 1967 to 1972 - work at the Institute of Geophysics of the Ural Scientific Center of the USSR Academy of Sciences
From 1972 to 2000 - work at the geological institute of the Kola Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences
From 2000 till now - Institute of Geology of the Carinthians RAS.
The candidate's thesis is defended in 1978.
The academic degree of the Doctor of Geology and Mineralogy was awarded by the decision of the High Appraisal Commission under the Council of Ministers of the USSR in 1992.
Academic rank of a senior researcher on the specialty "Geophysics" was awarded by the decision of the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR in 1986.

Leading specialist on deep seismic studies of the European North, comprehensive interpretation of geological and geophysical data, revealing deep-seated connection with tectonic development of the region

The experience of pedagogical work in the university is more than 5 years.

He lectures on disciplines "Introduction to Geophysics", "Geophysics", "Seismic Exploration", "Physics of the Earth".
The total academic load is 450 hours.
