State enterprise “Ukrinzhgeodesiya” carries out some works of open pit digital mapping. This article shows an overview of mapping using aerial survey. Some ways of data organization are proposed here. The examples of different queries to maps are given here as examples (cubic capacity figuring, section building etc.).
