Policy on the use of artificial intelligence and technologies supported by artificial intelligence

In view of the growing popularity of generative artificial intelligence (AI) and related technologies, as well as the anticipated increase in their use by authors of scientific publications, the Editorial Board of the Journal has established the following policy on the use of AI.

AI cannot be listed as an author of a manuscript. Texts must not be generated using AI. The creation of textual content and figures using AI is not permitted. AI may be used բացառively for checking the correctness of English translations.

The Editorial Board reserves the right to screen submitted manuscripts for the use of generative AI systems. This may include the application of automated detection tools, expert evaluation by reviewers, and additional inquiries addressed to the authors.

Editors do not use artificial intelligence or AI-assisted technologies to make decisions that require critical thinking or the formation of substantive judgments.

Reviewers must not use artificial intelligence to make decisions that require critical thinking or to form any substantive evaluation of a manuscript.

The Editorial Board will monitor developments in AI technologies and will revise or improve this policy as necessary.
