The Main Forms of the Influence of Military Conflicts on Climate Change: On the Example of Russian-Ukrainian War

The article analyses the influence of military conflicts on climate change. The author argues that the relationship between military conflicts and climate change is bilateral: on the one hand, the cause of military conflicts may be climate changes; on the other hand, military conflicts have a negative inflyence on the environment, causing climate change.

Analysis of Greenhouse Gas and Pollutant Emission Reduction in Ukraine and European Union Countries

Following the European Green Deal, which aims to develop a closed-loop economy and reduce emissions of pollutants, Ukraine is also implementing it in its plans. Therefore, this paper analyzes and compares the reduction of CO2, NOx and SO2 emissions by the European Community countries and Ukraine. Actual data on achievements in reducing emissions of the specified substances and the plans of the countries under study have been analyzed and compared.

The urgent problems related to environmental and climate factors, the solution of which requires the involvement of highly qualified and narrow-profile specialists capable of solving and developing effective measures to minimize the negative effects of global warming, were analyzed. The analysis demonstrates that today in Ukraine, there is an urgent need to train climate management specialists due to the global nature of this problem.

THE DICHOTOMY OF THE‘ MANIPULATIVE VERSUS COUNTER-MANIPULATIVE IMPACT’: DOES IT EXIST IN THE ENGLISH- WRITTEN MASS MEDIA TEXTS ON CLIMATE CHANGE?

Problem .For all the undisputable good that mass media have afforded the society, they are as well known to be exploiting on a high scale the means of manipulation which results in the public being deceived or told half-truth, information distorted, an individual recipient misled. Elucidating the means and markers of manipulation in a media text constitutes a formidable problem of media linguistics. It cannot be otherwise because it is the nature of manipulation to hide the means of its impact.
