ARCHITECTURE OF RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS IN MODERN RECREATIONAL SETTLEMENTS IN THE UKRAINIAN CARPATHIANS

The article is aimed at identifying the features of the spatial organization of recreational settlements in the difficult conditions of the mountainous terrain of the Ukrainian Carpathians, highlighting the practical experience in the design and construction of recreational residential buildings, and considering the nome nclature of elements of servicing settlements. The research methodology included field surveys of constructed facilities in Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv regions over the past 5–6 years, as well as settlements that were under construction as of 2025.

EVOLUTION OF THE TERRITORY EXPANSION CONCEPT OF THE LVIV CITY CENTER IN THE URBAN PROJECTS OF XX - EARLY XXI CENTURY

The city center of Lviv was formed in the early XX century as a holistic ensemble that included medieval downtown, a system of broad boulevards and green spaces, which had been created in the site of demolished fortification walls around a city center and the densely built-up adjacent blocks of the former suburbs.

The city area has more than quadrupled during the past hundred years: in 1914 – 32 square km; in 1931 – 66 square km; in 1959 – 78 square km; in 1989 – 118 square km and the population has more than tripled – from 222000 habitants in 1914 to 732000 habitants in 2008.

Administrative and legal regulation of the protection and use of the land of settlements: the current state
