The  issues connected with  the use of  IoT  technologies  in  industrial enterprises are studied  in  the article. The main  features of  increasing  the competitiveness of  the enterprise are considered  in a comprehensive manner, using accumulated experience  allowing  access  more  complete  list  of  possibilities  in  usage  of  characteristics.  IoT  is  a  network  consisting  of interconnected physical objects or devices that have built-in sensors as well as software that allows the transmission and exchange of data between the physical world and computer systems using the standard protocols. Apart from the sensors, the network may have actuators built into physical objects and interconnected by wired and wireless networks. These interconnected objects have the  ability  to  read  and  to  execute,  the  function  to  program  and  identify  as  also  to  eliminate  the  need  for  human  participation through the intelligent interfaces.

Smart IoT is the development of “domestic” IoT in relation to industrial production – with its protocols of the information transfer,  requirements  for  the safety and  reliability of connections. Sensors consolidate data  in  real  time and have  the ability  to integrate directly  from  databases  and  data warehouses  and ERP-systems,  etc. The  choice  of  standards  for  Internet  connections depends on several factors, such as the existing infrastructure, the experience of the IT team to work with these standards and IoT devices, and so on.

The main task for the IoT platform is to connect an access point and data network for the end-user applications to the new Internet ecosystem of Things. Internet technologies have practical capabilities that allow enterprises to enter up to the higher level of development and to increase their competitiveness rapidly.
