Spatial Analysis of Renewable Energy Sources in Lviv Region

The introduction of renewable energy sources makes it possible to expand the possibilities of development of branches of the national economy, in particular heat energy, to accelerate economic growth and reduce the release of greenhouse gases into the environment. Spatial analysis of renewable energy sources contributes to their effective use and allows for planning the local development of renewable energy.

TECHNICAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF BIOLOGICAL RECLAMATION USING ANTHROPOGENIC ORGANIC WASTE IN COMPOSITION WITH SEWAGE SLUDGE

A systematic modern analysis of the state of waste management in the country encourages the search for more rational, efficient and cost-effective ways of processing and recycling solid waste. The inclusion of sewage sludge as a raw material in technologies for processing substrates makes it possible to solve the problems of accumulation and negative environmental impact of this hazardous waste, in addition to the problems of recycling.

OBTAINING AND USING SUBSTRATES WITH SEWAGE SLUDGE

The article is devoted to the study of the prospects of using compost with sewage sludge in the raw material for the recultivation of disturbed lands. A special installation was used for bio-composting, which allowed controlling of the process parameters. The results of bio-indication of composts obtained under different conditions of compositions of the raw material mixture are given. Based on the analysis of the results of bio-indication, the optimal composition of the raw material mixture using "fresh" and "old" sewage sludge is established.

Masonry Unit Manufacturing Technology Using Polymeric Binder

The paper discusses a problem of formation and search of efficient ways to recycle wastes generated by waste treatment plants, a proposed technology for their heat treatment and utilization of waste as a raw material component for the production of masonry units. High-density polyethylene is used as a binder.

THE USE OF BIOINDICATION TO DETERMINE THE POSSIBILITY OF SLUDGE RECOVERY AFTER BIOLOGICAL TREATMENT OF WASTEWATER

These studies were conducted to test the hypothesis that sewage sludge from Lviv municipal wastewater treatment plants (LMWWTP) facilities can be used to create a substrate that can be used for biological reclamation. The qualitative composition of sewage sludge from Lviv municipal wastewater treatment plants is determined. The study of bioindication of a mixture of sludge with dark gray soil was carried out in two stages, which showed a significant difference between fresh and settled sludge. Possible conditions for the use of sludge in the substrate are presented.

The paper presents the results of sewage sludge and carbon mud waste analysis. The conception of complex thermal utilization of sewage sludge and carbon mud was shown. On the basis of our study a granulated alternative fuel was created. Alternative fuels from sewage sludge co-processing help to reduce the usage of natural fuels in the cement industry and decrease the amount of unused waste.
