ARCHITECTURE OF THE BUILDINGS OF LVIV POLYTECHNIC IN THE FIRST PERIOD OF OPERATION, BEFORE 1877: ADAPTATION OF THE OLD OBIECTS AND NEW PROJECTS IN THE CITY CENTER

In the works of the history of Lviv Polytechnic, the first years of operation of the technical school are connected with the building in the center of Lviv, on the street Teatralna 20. However, the real architectural history of the Polytechnic has been richer in objects and more connected with center of the city. Newly released archival documents that touch on the history of Lviv Polytechnic make it possible to look differently at the first period of its existence.

IMPROVING THE ENERGY EFFICIENCY OF ARCHITECTURAL SOLUTIONS IN CONTEXT OF CLIMATE CHANGE SCENARIOS

The global climate system shows signs of rapid changes called a Climatic Transition in specialized literature. The article has studied climate trends in territorial (global, macro-climatic, meso-climatic, and micro-climatic) and time limits (historical overview; current state; long-term, medium-term, and short-term prospects). The most probable medium-term forecasts until 2050 have been taken as a basis.

LABORATORIES AS A CORE OF SCIENTIFIC-RESEARCH PART OF LVIV POLYTECHNICAL INSTITUTE (1944 ‒ the beginning of 1980s)

The article analyzes the peculiarities of organizing of laboratories work in Lviv Polytechnic during the Soviet period on the basis of archival documents. The beginning of the Second World War interrupted the educational and scientific work of the institution and seriously damaged the material base. Accordingly, the processes of restoring the work of laboratories, solving the difficulties of their equipment, developing directions of research work of the post-war stage are an interesting subject for research. In 1944 the scientific and research sector was established at the institute.

Lviv polytechnic: genesis changes in the context of national educational policy and legal status (1816–2016 years)

The bicentennial way of Lviv Polytechnic is considered in the context of changes in the national educational policy of several states – imperial Austrian, interwar Poland, the USSR and Ukraine. It is noted that the school used different legal status, and, therefore, the rights of self-government (or the lack of them).
