The article is devoted to the problem of determining the peculiarities of the administrative and legal status of judicial bodies as subjects of protection of the right of citizens to an environment safe for life and health in Ukraine.

Particular attention is devoted to defining the specifics of the target, structural-organizational and competence blocks of this status.

The article analyses main approaches to the definition of content of concepts “state control” and “state supervision” both in the national science of public administration and in legal science, and reveals their interpretation in individual legal acts. The main differences between control and supervision as the components of control function of public administration are identified and basic approaches to their legal interpretation are shown.

This article reveals the legal bases providing attorney assistance under current legislation. Mechanism design authority lawyer within the current codified laws. The study author makes suggestions to improve documentation of authority lawyer by law.
