This study conceptually assesssed household resilience to water supply and sanitation deficit in Nigeria. It expressed water supply and sanitation situation in Nigeria in terms of historical background and organisation structure of water supply and sanitation and highlighted cases of water supply and sanitation across states and geopolitical zones to reflect the precarious water supply and sanitation condition in Nigeria.

Забезпечення сприятливих умов життєдіяльності населення й охорона громадського здоров’я безпосередньо пов’язані з комплексним розробленням архітектурно-планувальних, інженерно-будівельних та еколого-гігієнічних заходів і здійсненням державного санітарного нагляду за плануванням, забудовою і благоустроєм міських та сільських поселень. Відповідно, проєктування населених місць повинно спиратися на закони України та регіональні програми щодо розв’язку найважливіших соціальних, архітектурних, економічних, екологічних і гігієнічних проблем.

The concentration of total iron is one of the main physicochemical indicators of the safety and quality of tap water. The standard amount of the concentration of common iron in tap water is not more than 0.2 mg/dm3. In some cases, due to specific natural conditions and technology for drinking water preparation/treatment, this number may be increased to 1.0 mg/dm3. Excess iron concentration in the water adversely affects the skin, blood composition, etc. Prolonged consumption of water with high iron concentration leads to liver disease, causes allergic reactions, etc.

The following is a description of the main scientific research results and possibilities for their practical application.

Проведена порівняльна оцінка корозійної стійкості маловуглецевих сталей 3, 20 і 08КП у водогінній воді. Методами масометрії, потенціодинамічних поляризаційних кривих і поляризаційного опору показана подібність корозійної поведінки цих сталей як на свіжезачищеній поверхні, так і після трьох тижнів експозиції. Встановлено розходження результатів вимірювання швидкості корозії методами поляризаційного опору і масометрії та наведено можливі його причини.
