The article is sanctified to the analysis of the personal touches of one of the most known penitentiaries of the world – penal colony Halden Fengsel of the City of Halden (Norway). The questions related to it’s origin are considered, the personal touches of the mode of the last are investigational. Separate attention concentrated on the problems of legal status of convicts that leave punishment for this penal colony.
