На сьогодні монохромний інтер’єр набуває великої популярності з огляду на свою простоту та лаконічність, що є ознакою нових художньо-образних підходів проєктування інтер’єрів та обладнання в епоху постмодерну. Світло та тінь у художньому проєктуванні житлових інтер’єрів, а саме у їх монохромному вирішенні, формує художній образ, що має яскраво виражене емоційне спрямування. Було досліджено та сформульовано основні принципи використання світла та тіні у створенні сучасного монохромного житлового інтер’єру.
