The article presents the results of a scientific expedition conducted by the lecturers and students of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of the Institute of Architecture, Construction and Energy Engineering at IFNTUOG, aimed at researching the bastion-type castle complex of the Belzecki and Jablonowski families in the village of Mariampil, Ivano-Frankivsk district. During the fieldwork, the localization, identification, and description of the remains of defensive structures were carried out, as well as an assessment of their current technical condition and level of preservation. The planning structure of the castle site was analyzed, the spatial organization of fortifications was traced, and the boundaries of earth ramparts, moats, curtains, bastions, entrance and park gates, underground premises, and remnants of internal buildings were identified. Particular attention was paid to the analysis of historical cartographic materials of the late 18th – early 19th centuries, including plans by F. von Mieg, W. Wagner, and F. Frank, which allowed the clarification of the reconstruction of the defensive complex and the identification of losses in its architectural structure.

The relevance of the study is determined by the critical technical condition of the castle complex remains, which are actively being destroyed under the influence of natural and anthropogenic factors. Significant damage was found in the structures of the entrance gate and adjacent buildings, processes of destruction of the brick-stone escarpment of the bastions and curtains, landslides of the slopes of the Castle Hill, collapse of vaults, and subsidence of foundations.

Based on the results of field research, architectural measurements, photographic documentation, and analysis of literary and cartographic sources, practical recommendations for the conservation of the monument have been developed. A package of conservation measures has been proposed, including the urgent installation of a temporary protective pavilion for the entrance and park gates, strengthening the brickwork and vaults of underground premises with special solutions, clearing the area of vegetation, and conducting archaeological and engineering surveys to prepare design documentation for the restoration of the object.

The need to increase the protection status of the complex to the level of a monument of national significance and its revalorization as an important element of cultural heritage and tourist potential of the region is emphasized. Keywords: Mariyampil Castle, entrance gate, park gate, bastions, ramparts, moats.
