We consider a technique for deriving the trigonometric leveling formula for the general case when preconditions are not placed on the mutual placement of plumb lines at adjacent points of the triangulation network and the configuration of the surface of relativity. The obtained formulas take into account in the determined excess the influence of mutual deviation of vertical lines and the departure of the surface of relativity from the surface of the sphere.
