It is shown that modern linear measurements can be carried out with optical-range meters with a relative error of 1-10 ", and high-precision geometric leveling with a marginal error of 0.25-0.3 mm per 1 km of travel. This achievement opens up new possibilities for Geodynamics: to study not only vertical, but also horizontal movements of the Earth's crust, structures, technological equipment for relatively short periods of time.
