Situation in Ukraine and Ways to Solve it According to Poles

The purpose of the article is to present the process of shaping public opinion on the situation in Ukraine under the influence of current political events, even if knowledge about them came mainly from media reports. The publication uses descriptive and comparative methods as well as the analysis of opinion surveys conducted by the Center for Social Opinion Research (CBOS). The article uses 11 research reports and the report titled “Polish Press Debate on the Conflict in Ukraine. Comparative Perspective 2014–2015”, created by the Laboratory of Media Studies of the University of Warsaw.

Scientific and historical heritage of M. Lozynsky

In this article Lozynskyi’s historical heritage is taken into account while analyzing processes which took place in Ukraine during national-liberation movement. The article states that M. Lozynskyi began his career in the well-known Lviv newspaper «Dilo», where he started to work in 1900, and later become an editor of it until theWorldWar I.

The mathematical models for spatial analysis of GHG emission processes from pulp, paper, food products and beverages have been developed. Using geoinformation technology the estimates of GHG emissions in Poland at the level of production plants, as well as at the level of elementary areas 2 km  2 km in size have been obtained.

Roads of development of the Polish countryside

The paper presents five fields of activities which should contribute to the possibly fast and comprehensive development of Polish rural areas. These are the activities of various types. The foreign assistance programs for farmers result from the common agricultural policy carried out by the European Union of which Poland has been an active member since 1994. Introduction of spatial order into the rural structures is connected with the planning practice. Spatial development plans, management-agricultural plans and land consolidation plans should be compatible.

Planning, spatial and investment aspects in the protection of cultural landscapes and objects of historical value in Poland

The paper presents the system of local spatial planning and investment processes in Poland. That is also considered of determinants and directions of spatial development and in the loval master plan that the zones of conservatory are established, which are supposed to rotect monuments situated in these areas. The paper also presents Polish institutions engaged in monument preservation as well as examples of historic urban patterns from the matopolshic voivodeship
