Lithogenetic aspects of oil and gas systems formation in the Volyno-Podolia Silurian deposits

Objective. To elucidate the dynamics of catagenetic processes that occurred in the Silurian sediments against the background of an oil and gas systems formation. Method. The method includes lithology-facies, mineralogical-petrographic, catagenetic, and litho-fluido-dynamic analyses. Results.

Display of the tectonic structure of the western region of Ukraine in the gravimagnetic fields

Purpose. The aim of this work is to trace large structural-tectonic elements within the Western region of Ukraine according to the characteristic signs of their manifestation in the anomalies of gravity and magnetic fields and the construction of regional tectonics schemes based on gravity and magnetometric materials. Methodology. The research method is based on a qualitative interpretation of the observed gravitational and magnetic fields.

The map of vertical Holocene movements of Volyno-Podillya and Pre-Carpathians

The mapping approach based on revealed property of the geodynamical memory of actual soil cover (Holocene) is realized. Structure and facies of the soil cover are considered as a new information donor about the relief dynamics. The raw of tectogenic evolution of the soil-forming processes and the soil types in the range from subsidences to stable regime and elevations with different intensity is determined. For the Western Volyno-Podillya and Pre-Carpathian foredeep the calibration raw “soil type – total amplitude of vertical movements” is justified.

Pequliarities of geological structure and geodynamic evolution of south-eastern part of Volyn-Podolsk plate in the context of hydrocarbon potential

Data on the history of geological evolution of the south-eastern part of zone of junction of Volyn-Podolsk plate and Carpathian foredeep are generalized. The main structural and tectonic elements are describe which are formed at different stages of development of this area. Geodynamic factors of formation of hydrocarbon traps are analyzed and the main prospective areas are selected.
