This socio-critical study reveals connotations as additional emotional, evaluative, semantic shades of emotions, ideas of anti-Ukrainian stereotypes in Russian social networks Facebook, Instagram, Telegram messengers during Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine in 2022–2024 for the destruction of the truth, the loss of the audience’s orientation reflex, the instinct of self-preservation through the broadcast of negativism, intolerance towards everything Ukrainian, denial of identity, history, traditions, self-sufficiency of Ukrainians, justification of Russia’s war of aggression.

The purpose of the study: to promote understanding of the connotations of anti-Ukrainian stereotypes in social networks, to strengthen critical thinking for resistance to anti-Ukrainian propaganda of Russian stereotypes in social networks with deliberately distorted meanings, pro-Russian assessment, negative emotional and psychological impact, which contributes to their consolidation in the feelings and consciousness of recipients.

Task: to identify anti-Ukrainian stereotypes in Russian social networks Facebook, Instagram, Telegram messenger, to reveal their connotations, features, signs of the distorted essence of the content, the destructive informational and psychological impact of deliberately broadcast negative emotions for the implementation of Russia’s aggressive plans in Ukraine. As the study showed, the connotations of anti-Ukrainian stereotypes in Russian social networks are ominous forms of degenerates, pejoratives, invectives, deliberate transfers of negativism, hostility, rejection of Ukrainians, Ukrainian independence, which is reproduced in distorted historical, modern facts, events, false, negative assessments: contempt, condemnation of Ukrainians, non-recognition of Ukraine as a state and everything Ukrainian.

Special semantic nuances, co-meanings of connotations of anti-Ukrainian stereotypes of Russian social networks Facebook, Instagram, Telegram messenger, which, due to negative informational and psychological influence, seek to establish in the feelings and minds of users of Russian social networks a hostile, pro-Russian perception of Ukraine and Ukrainians are revealed.
