The essence of the concepts of ‘adaptation’ and ‘social adaptation’ is examined. In particular, it is concluded that social adaptation is a set of measures aimed at integrating an individual or group into new environmental conditions, taking into account psychological, linguistic, and cultural components in order to facilitate their adjustment, ensure a comfortable life and work environment, and often carries a continuous and dynamic character. The interconnection between social adaptation and corporate culture is emphasized, namely: social adaptation helps a newcomer integrate into the corporate culture, promotes familiarity with the company’s philosophy, principles, and behavioral norms, thereby shaping an em- ployee who meets the key criteria of the organization. In turn, corporate culture forms the appropriate direction for management to support diversity and inclusion. The reasons for the growing attention to social adaptation by domestic companies are presented, as well as the problems faced by employees who find themselves in a new cultural environment. The advantages of using social adaptation programs for employees and managers are identified. Instruments of social adaptation used by leading global compa- nies in cross-cultural environments are described, including: development of training programs, language courses, seeking support from consulates in the host country, formation of Employee Resource Groups, development of cultural intelligence, provision of housing, and more. A brief description of individual instruments is provided, and they are grouped into the following key areas: organizational, strategic, ma- terial-technical, and emotional-psychological. A model for implementing social adaptation as a tool of corporate culture in a cross-cultural environment has been developed.
The key research methods used in the work include analysis, grouping, generalization, and graph- ical presentation of results.
Thus, social adaptation is an important tool of corporate culture in a cross-cultural environment, contributing to the unity of the team, loyalty to the company, and innovation through the support of inclusiveness and diversity.
