DECARBONIZATION AND ECOMODERNIZATION OF THE ECONOMY AS A RESOURCE-ENERGY-EFFICIENT WAY OF POST-WAR RECONSTRUCTION OF UKRAINE

Global climate changes are taking place on our planet, which cause an increase in the average annual temperature of the atmospheric air, and, therefore, rapid melting of glaciers on all continents and an inevitable rise in the level of the world ocean. This, in turn, can lead to "environmental" wars, a brutal struggle for survival resources, and powerful migration processes.

INFLUENCE OF MODERN TRENDS IN SOLAR ENERGY USAGE ON AESTHETIC QUALITIES OF THE CITY

Energy independence remains a priority task for most European countries. Along with traditional energy sources, more and more attention is being paid to renewable energy usage. The best solution for city residents is the use of solar energy for the local needs of individual households. However, chaotic installation of solar panels on the roofs has a negative impact on the aesthetic qualities of urban environment. Many problems as well arise during installation of panels itself on the roof structure.

ASSESSMENT OF THE POSSIBILITY OF TRANSFERRING UKRAINIAN DISTRICT HEATING SYSTEMS TO LOW-TEMPERATURE COOLANTS

The analytic research was conducted for a residential building built according to a typical project in Lviv. As the research data showed, the requirements of the existing normative documents of Ukraine do not allow to significantly reduce the heat load on the heat source. Thus, the value of the maximum heat flow to the heating system decreased by 36%, and the maximum heat flow to the hot water supply system - by 7.7%, and the total maximum hourly heat consumption, respectively, decreased by 23%.

European Union Green Energy: Risks and Opportunities for Ukraine (Researh Article)

The article analyzes the state and motives for the development of green energy in the European Union. The level and pace of improvement in the field of renewable energy in Ukraine has been found out. The critical consequences of Russian aggression for the Ukrainian energy sector have been described. Prospects and risks for Ukraine, shaped by European trends and problems in the field of energy, have been identified. The role of Ukraine’s involvement in the European Green Deal, Horizon 2020, EU4Energy and INOGATE programs has been considered.

STATE AND PROSPECTS OF SOLAR ENERGY DEVELOPMENT

The potential of solar energy in Ukraine is high enough for widespread implementation. The most promising method of obtaining electricity is a method of direct conversion of radiation into electricity using solar panels. The production of electricity using solar panels prevents air pollution compared to the production of electricity by thermal power plants and reduces greenhouse gas emissions.

Criterion modelling of the process of redundancy of renewable energy sources power generation instability by electrochemical accumulators

The paper analyzes the methods and ways for the redundancy of renewable energy sources (RESs) instability in electric power systems (PS). It is shown that these can be maneuverable capacities, in particular, thermal and hydropower plants, accumulators, hydrogen technologies, biogas plants. It is substantiated that, for various reasons, for the RESs to be developed and their capacity to be increased in power systems, electrochemical accumulators and highly maneuverable capacities existing in the PS are the most prepared for implementation.

Economic Efficiency of a Solar Power Plant in an Individual Household Under Different Scenarios of Green Tariff Dynamics

“Green” tariff — a special price at which electricity produced from renewable energy sources — hydroelectric power plants, photovoltaic, wind turbines is purchased. Businesses and households that produce electricity at a “green” tariff sell it on the market much more expensively than traditional producers of thermal or nuclear energy. The paper analyzes the legislation and regulations on “green” tariff in Ukraine and the problems of their implementation. In particular, attention is paid to the use of solar power plants (SPP) in individual households.

PROSPECTS OF USING POLYMERIC MATERIALS IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF SOLAR COLLECTORS

The solar energy that reaches the Earth is free, but installations to convert solar energy into heat, as well as equipment for transporting and storage that heat, require some investment. A significant part of the components of these systems are metals. Pipelines in solar collectors and heat exchangers are made of copper, aluminum is used for the absorber and housing, and the steel is often used in heat storage tanks. One of the options to reduce the cost of solar collectors and increase their efficiency is to use polymeric materials instead of metals.

Heat Transfer Process During Filtration Drying of Grinded Sunflower Biomass

Filtration drying of grinded sunflower stems as the unit operation of the technological line for solid biofuel production has been proposed. Theoretical aspects of heat transfer processes during filtration drying have been analyzed. The effect of the drying agent velocity increase from 0.68 to 2.05 m/s on the heat transfer intensity has been established. The values of heat transfer coefficients have been calculated on the basis of the thin-layer experimental data and equation .
