Effect of the Low-molecular Additives Nature on the Adhesive Properties of Based on Polyvinylpirolidone Compositions

The influence of low-molecular additives of different structure on the polyvinylpyrrolidone and hydroxyethyl compositions has been researched. The adhesive ability based on the contact angle compositions carried on linings of variable nature has been characterized. The effect of additives of different nature on the adhesive strength of the glue seam of polyvinylpyrrolidone containing compositions estimated by Dupre-Ung methodology has been studied.

Obtaining Peculiarities and Properties of Polyvinylpyrrolidone Copolymers with Hydrophobic Vinyl Monomers

Polymerization of hydrophobic vinyl monomers in polyvinylpyrrolidone aqueous solutions has been investigated under ultrasonic treatment. The effect of ultrasound on the destruction of water-soluble polymeric matrices has been examined. The obtaining mechanism of block- and grafted copolymers of vinyl monomers with polyvinylpyrrolidone has been proposed. The copolymers have been synthesized as films and their main properties, physico-mechanical and sorption-diffusive, in particular, have been investigated.

Regularities of Obtaining, Morphology and Properties of Metal-Containing Polymer-Silicate Materials and Polyester Composites on their Basis

The effect of the kind, concentration and introduction method of polymeric modifiers (polyvinyl alcohol and polyvinylpyrrolidone), as well as the kind of metal chloride on the physico-chemical regularities of the obtaining process of modified metal-containing polymer-silicate materials, their morphology and properties has been examined. Using instrumental methods of investigations it was established that obtaining of metal-containing polymer-silicate materials was accompanied by intermolecular interactions between active silicate groups and functional groups of a polymeric modifier.

Mineral Filled Porous Composites Based on Polyvinylpyrrolidone Copolymers with Bactericidal Properties

The polymerization of 2-hydroxyethylmethacrylate compositions with polyvinylpyrrolidone has been investigated in the presence of mineral fillers (hydroxyapatite, montmorillonite and wollastonite). The influence of the nature and amount of mineral filler on polymerization kinetics and composition of copolymers has been determined. In the composite structure silver particles were obtained via silver nitrate reduction by polyvinylpyrrolidone tertiary nitrogen. The synthesized silver-containing composites possess bactericidal properties against E. colі and S. aureus bacteria, in particular.
