The research makes a dual contribution: firstly, it comprehensively analyses blockchain and biometrics, highlighting their convergence's potential advantages and obstacles.

Legal provisions regarding involvement in private life in criminal procedural law

The Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine distinguishes between investigative (investigative) and covert investigative (investigative) actions. It is to covert investigative actions - interference in private communication. Communication is the transmission of information in any form from one person to another directly or through any means of communication. The article is devoted to the problem of defining the concept, content and extent of interference in private life in criminal procedure law.

Comparative characteristics of legal regulation of personal data protection in the US and Europe: CCPA vs GDPR

The article analyzes and compares the legal regulation of personal data protection in the form of European and American acts - General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Сollection, processing, and sale of personal data in accordance with relevant legal acts; the scope of legal acts differs according to 3 traditional criteria: the number of persons, the subject of regulation and the territory of application are analyzed in the article.

Problems of privacy and security in cyber physical systems of intellectual houses

Smart homes have become increasingly popular for IoT products and services with a lot of promises for improving the quality of life of individuals. Nevertheless, the heterogeneous, dynamic, and Internet-connected nature of this environment adds new concerns as private data becomes accessible, often without the householders’ awareness. This accessibility alongside with the rising risks of data security and privacy breaches, makes smart home security a critical topic that deserves scrutiny.

Issues of liability of legal entities for violation of privacy

We study the question of criminal liability of legal persons for violation of privacy. The experience of foreign European Union Member States whose legislation contains the relevant rule. The conclusion about the feasibility of supplementing the list of crimes for which responsible legal person and a crime, criminal responsibility for which is stipulated in article 182 of the criminal
code of Ukraine. The author justifies his proposal by the fact that the human right to privacy is one of the fundamental rights provided for in international instruments.
