Distribution of vehicle speeds in traffic flow on multilane roads approaching major and metropolitan cities

The distribution characteristics of vehicle speeds on multilane highways approaching major and metropolitan cities, using a six-lane segment of the M-05 Kyiv – Odesa highway as a case study, are investigated in this paper. The research methodology is based on field observations employing frame-by-frame video analysis with an accuracy of 0.04 seconds, enabling precise identification of time headways between vehicles and calculating their instantaneous speeds. Both theoretical and empirical speed distribution curves were constructed.

Survey of driver's functional state change, considering movement through mountain passes

According to traffic accident statistics, the main causes are violations of traffic rules. Based on scientific research, it is clear that the main reason for these events is the drivers' incorrect assessment of the road situation and their inadequate response. Assessing road conditions depends on drivers' qualifications, skills, work experience, reaction time, and other physiological factors. The functional state of drivers is important to consider. It reflects their ability to work reliably and affects both fatigue levels and how fatigue builds up.

Change of drivers functional condition while moving along highways of different technical categories

The article analyzes the influence of a human factor on road safety and the main methods of its research. The main indicators of the functional state of the drivers, which most accurately illustrate the change in the neuro-emotional stress while operating the vehicle in different road conditions, are determined. The regularities of changing the functional state of the drivers who were driving the vehicle along different categories of roads were established.

ECOLOGICAL AND GENETIC MONITORING OF THE AGRO - AND BIODIVERSITY OF THE COASTAL ZONE OF WESTERN GEORGIA

The intensity of heavy metals, natural and anthropogenic radionuclides are studied in the cultivated plants and soil in the vicinity of the western coast of Georgia. It is shown that the intensity of their accumulation depends on the type of plant, the place of sampling and the ecological zone. The highest rate of natural radionuclides is 40K, and the lowest - 226Ra, from the technogenic radionuclides the high-quality activeness is characterized to 137Cs, and its accumulation is the highest in the soil. From the hard metals, the plants most actively absorb lead and cadmium.
