Deep structure of the north-western part of the Carpathian oil-and-gas bearing region based on integral interpretatiion of complex geologiocal and geophysical data

The report is devoted to an actual problem of studying the deep structure of the Carpathian region. Our research is based on creating a spatial integral seismic-gravity model. Gained results gave the opportunity to single out a number of lowered and raised blocks of the basement which correlate with the main tectonic units of the region and specify its geological structure. Further studying of the territory requires conduction of regional seismic investigation and its integral interpretation.

Predicting seismic activity basing on complex geophysical monitoring of seismotectonic processes

Using methods of factor, correlation and regression analysis anomalous component investigation of temporal variations of geophysical field characteristic (power of local earthquakes, endogenic microseisms, geotemperatures, the Earth's crust deformation, atmospheric pressure and temperature) registered at the Transcarpathian network of regime geophysical stations (RGS) in 1992-1997 have been carried out. To separate anomalous components from series of geophysical field characteristics harmonic components and trend have been excluded by means of filtration in a spectral domain.

Deep structure of the Palaeoproterozoic Onega structure on geological and geophysical data

The modern concept of the deep structure of the crust of Onega structure and its surroundings is given based on analysis of available geological and geophysical data and the drilling record for the Onega parametric borehole obtained in the past fifty years. The deep structure of the Earth’s crust of this territory was studied in more detail and its composition, possible geological nature and geodynamic setting were assessed more accurately by summing up and interpreting of geological, tectonic, geophysical and mineralogenic data.

On possibility of seismotectonic zoning of the Ukrainian shield and identification of seismogenic structures

Purpose. The aim of research is the need to show the example of the Krivorozhske seismogenerating zone, the possibility of seismic zoning of the Ukrainian Shield (USh) based on a comprehensive analysis of geological, geophysical, seismic, seismotectonics parameters as well- characteristics geophysical fields and structural features of Ukrainian Shield. Methods.
