MODELING OF VELOCITY AND STRESS ON A FLAT SURFACE SUBJECTED TO AIRFLOW IN INTERACTION WITH OSCILLATION ENERGY

Understanding the mechanics of a turbulent boundary layer is important, since in most practical problems it is the turbulent boundary layer that is primarily responsible for the surface shear force or surface resistance. The velocity distribution in a turbulent boundary layer on a flat plate is considered parallel to the flow. It is important to know the correlations between the boundary layer thickness and shear stress. Therefore, the problem of controlling the flow in a boundary layer on a flat plate is one of the important problems of boundary layer mechanics.

DESIGN AND RESEARCH OF STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS OF THE ELBOW ORTHOSIS PLANETARY GEARBOX

A variety of mechanisms, each designed with distinct specifications, find application in diverse sectors of the machine engineering industry. The utilisation of apparatuses comprising mechanical components in the field of medicine is also evident in the context of patient rehabilitation. These mechanisms are orthoses. The design of such systems is subject to a stringent set of specifications, which include compactness, light weight, and reliability. The purpose of orthoses is to replicate lost functions as closely as possible to a healthy human.

DESIGN AND STRENGTH ANALYSIS OF THE PLANETARY GEARBOX SHAFTS FOR AN ELBOW ORTHOSIS USING KISSSOFT

Mechanisms with gears are used in various fields of mechanical engineering according to the needs. Orthoses are used to rehabilitate patients in the postoperative period or during the restoration of lost limb functions. For patients to comfortably use orthoses, they must be compact, lightweight, and reliable. Gear shafts are the most loaded structural elements of such devices.

MATHEMATICAL MODEL OF THE BOUNDARY LAYER OF AIRFLOW OVER A FLAT SURFACE

In fluid and gas mechanics, a subject that has been the focus of considerable scholarly attention is the modeling of flow phenomena on streamlined surfaces. These surfaces, which are typically installed in a parallel orientation to the direction of the free stream, play a pivotal role in the study of fluid dynamics. The boundary layer theory represents a pivotal branch of fluid dynamics, given the airflow plate is characterized by a high Reynolds number of airflow velocity entering the plate's plane surface contexts.

ANALYSIS AND DEVELOPMENT OF A CUTTING FORCE MEASUREMENT SYSTEM UNDER PRE-HEATING CONDITIONS OF THE WORKPIECE

The issue of determining cutting forces in machining processes is relevant due to the need to improve the efficiency, quality, and accuracy of hard-to-machine materials. In particular, preventive heating of the workpiece can reduce the mechanical resistance of the machined material, which reduces the load on the tool and increases its service life. The article aims to study and analyze the equipment design for measuring cutting forces under conditions of preventive heating.

CALCULATION OF THE STRENGTH OF THE ELEMENTS OF THE FREE-WHEEL BALL CLUTCH OF A BICYCLE

The work describes the structure and operational principles of a bicycle's free-wheel ball clutch. It also provides a comprehensive methodology for calculating the clutch's working components' transverse forces, bending moments, and movements. The calculations are illustrated for two scenarios of half-coupling loading: two concentrated opposite forces and a uniform load. The provided materials and data enable designers to make informed decisions regarding the selection of materials for manufacturing and the primary geometric parameters of the free-wheel ball clutch.

STRENGTH INVESTIGATION OF A STRUCTURAL ELEMENT OF A LABORATORY CENTRIFUGE

The rotor is a major element of high-speed mechanisms that are widely used in various industries, such as laboratory centrifuges for separating mixtures of different fractions, gas turbines, industrial compressors, engines, and others. The main requirement for such mechanisms is reliability and safety during operation. To ensure the above requirements, it is necessary to determine the stress-strain state of the most loaded structural elements of the system.

LOADING OF THE MAIN ELEMENTS OF THE FREE WHELL BALL COUPLING

The article examines the design features and the principle of its operation of the overrunning ball clutch. A methodology for calculating transverse forces, bending moments and axial deformations of the main elements of the overrunning ball clutch is proposed. The given materials allow designers to rationally choose the materials for manufacturing and the main geometric parameters of the given overrunning ball clutch

SIMULATION OF THE GEARS STRESS-STRAIN STATE OF ELBOW ORTHOSIS PLANETARY GEARBOX

Gear transmissions of various sizes are used in various fields of mechanical engineering, automotive, marine, and aerospace industries according to the needs. This paper presents the modeling and analysis of the modal and harmonic characteristics of a planetary gear transmission for an elbow orthosis. Orthoses are used during the rehabilitation of patients in the postoperative period or during the restoration of lost limb functions. When modeling the planetary gear, the connection elements are made of 45 steel and PLA polylactide.
