The article offers a comprehensive historical and legal analysis of the 1867 Statute of the ‘Mutual Aid Society of Private Employees of Galicia,’ one of the earliest and most influential documents regulating the social protection and collective self­organization of private clerical workers in Habsburg Galicia. The study examines the conceptual foundations, structural composition, and functional mechanisms embedded in the Statute, which aimed to enhance the material and moral well­being of private employees through a system of solidarity­based assistance.

Formation of the Printing Trade Union Movement in Galicia and Its Representation in the Trade Union Press

The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the emergence and development of the printers’ trade­union movement in Galicia during the second half of the nineteenth century, placing it within the broader socio­economic and political transformations of the Habsburg Empire. Austrian Reforms of Enlightened Absolutism in Galicia: Social, Economic and Legal Transformations of the Peasantry in the End of the Eighteenth Century

The relevance of the problem indicated in the title is determined by the need to understand not only the past, but also the current challenges in the field of legal, social, economic, and cultural policy. The Austrian reforms in eighteenth-century Galicia are of great historical significance, as they significantly influenced the further development of the region, its socio-economic structure, and cultural landscape. We believe that their consequences are still indirectly visible today in certain signs of the development of education, culture, and identity of the local population.

The influence of social democrats on the formation and development of ukrainian political and legal thought in Galicia during the period of the proclamation and decline of the ZUNR (1918-1923)

This article is devoted to the analysis of the influence of the Ukrainian Social Democratic Party (USDP) on the formation and development of political and legal opinion in Galicia during the period of the proclamation and decline of the ZUNR (1918–1923). The role and place of iconic Ukrainian social democrats in the socio-political life of the region and the peculiarities of the evolution of the USDP to the political course of the ZUNR, the Polish state through the prism of the short period of Ukrainian power and the specifics of the occupation regime are highlighted.

The issue of the Polish-Ukrainian political confrontation during the elections to the Vienna parliament and Seym of Galicia, and the influence of abuses of Polish authorities on election results, as well as Ukrainian “khrunivstvo” are examined.

NATURE AND RESIDENTIAL ENVIRONMENT IN THE FIRST GARDEN CITIES IN GALICIA: “SALWATOR” IN KRAKOW AND “NOVYI SVIT” IN LVIV

The article discloses the peculiarities of the nature and residential environment in the first garden cities in Galicia: “Salwator” in Krakow and “Novyi Svit” in Lviv. The topicality of the issue is predetermined by the need for supplementing and developing available scientific researches related to the study of the garden city concept as well as for analyzing profoundly and comparing the architectural and townplanning structures of the garden cities in Galicia at the early stages of their development.

NEW ROME, AS AN IDEAL HIERATOPY, IN THE GALICIAN SACRED ARCHITECTURE OF THE INDEPENDENCE AGE

The aim of the article is to reveal the tendency to use images of the Constantinople capital's architecture in the projects of sacred buildings in Galicia at the beginning of the XXI century. Under the hieratopy of New Rome means the special status of Constantinople - the sacred center of the World Christian (Roman) State. After the fall of Constantinople, the image of New Rome became available for reproduction in previously remote corners of the Byzantine world, including in the construction of the identities of certain modern nations formed in the nineteenth century.
