The article examines the formation and development of health resorts in Galicia until 1939, specifically analyzing the resort centers of Yaremche, Kosiv, Tatariv, Morshyn, Velykyi Liubin, Nemyriv. The problem statement is driven by the need for a comprehensive study of the architectural features of these establishments, their impact on the spatial development of the region, and their role in shaping the resort network of Galicia. Despite the existence of substantial research in the field of resort studies and architectural history, many issues regarding the typology of health institutions, their urban integration, and historical transformations remain insufficiently explored.

The article utilizes the findings of previous scientific studies, particularly the works of Kharchuk (2008), Savchuk (2016), Klapchuk (2012, 2014, 2015), and Harashchak (2022), which analyze the architectural, economic, and social aspects of the development of Galicia’s resorts. These studies demonstrate the interrelation between natural resources, urban planning, and investment policies; however, they require further elaboration in terms of a comparative analysis of the architecture and structural changes of resort complexes.

The purpose of the article is to identify the characteristics of the development of health resorts in Galicia, conduct a typological analysis of their architecture, and determine the influence of European stylistic trends. The study is based on historical sources, archival materials, and graphic reconstructions.

The research identifies the stages of resort development and characterizes the volumetric-spatial features of health institutions. The key stylistic characteristics of the architecture are determined—ranging from traditional Hutsul to modernist and functionalist styles. The conclusions emphasize the significance of this research for contemporary restoration and reconstruction projects and highlight the necessity of preserving the authentic architectural heritage of Galicia’s resorts.
