This article is devoted to the influence of the institution of the presidency on the formation of Ukrainian statehood. The article determines the status and role of the President during the existence of independent Ukraine and analyzes historical aspects of the formation of the institution of the presidency.
The article examines problems of populism in the context of public administration in Belarus. It should be noted that populism remains a topical phenomenon of social and political life of many countries. It is also observed that while populism makes a significant impact on policies of the countries with relatively little experience in functioning of democratic institutions, it also manifests itself quite visibly in the modern political space of ‘old’ democracies.
Civil society asks dynamic welfare state plays in its existence developmental role. Therefore, the level of civil society and the level of the welfare state concepts are interrelated. In fact, civil society is a mechanism for the further development of the functional structure developed forms of welfare state. It is not only a condition for the full realization of the general characteristics of social support in the social state, but also a mechanism combining civil and social rights is an effective way to legitimize the legal nature of social policy.
The contribution of Eisenstadt to the development of comparative historical sociology of empires is researched. The work of Israeli scientist ‘The Political Systems of Empires: The Rise and Fall of the Historical Bureaucratic Societies’ is on the focus. The main goal of the research is to disclose the content of theoretical positions and the specifics of the methodology of this work.
In the article the problem of singling out the types of political stability as the qualitative characteristic of the political system of society is analyzed. The basic problem aspects of the “political stability” definition are highlighted and the theoretical basis of the study is determined.
